Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Highways

Manchester Based - With Travel
Salary Circa 40k + Car Allowance
We have a very exciting opportuntiy for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor working within the Highways sector, based in Manchester but with UK Travel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join a large International civil construction company and develop a fabulous career.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cost control by monitoring project budgets and expenditures.
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure financial efficiency.
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify costs.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation.
- Support the senior quantity surveyor in preparing tender documents and contracts.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of cost control principles
- Ability to analyze and manage project budgets
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Relevant degree or certification in quantity surveying or construction management is preferred
