My client are a family owned, specialist interiors sub-contractor providing expertise across all aspects of dry lining, plastering, partitioning, ceilings, steel framing systems, glazing, and rendering. They have worked alongside a number of leading main contractors, gaining an excellent reputation for delivering high quality projects. Sectors they work in include retail, leisure, commercial, education, and healthcare, with projects valued up to 2.5m.

Due to sustained growth and increased workload, they are seeking an Quantity Surveytor to join their team and work on projects across the Manchester and surrounding areas. While the role will be predominantly Quantity Surveying, you'll also undertake some Estimating duties.

As the Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:

  • Reviewing project costs for accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Developing and maintaining procurement schedules.
  • Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works to facilitate accurate project pricing.
  • Identify any financial, design, production, and contractual risks/opportunities.
  • Cost control and value management strategies.
  • Monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of projects.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Manage subcontractor payments.
  • Variation account and forecast final accounts.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within the interiors sector (Desirable)
  • Degree qualified in quantity surveying/or similar (HNC, etc) (Desirable)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
