Graduate Design Engineer
Carbon60 are currently hiring for a junior/graduate design engineer to join the team at one of our exciting, expanding Water Treatment clients based in Somerset.


The key purpose of this role is to support our client's established design team - producing relevant drawings and layouts including P&IDs as well as developing their 3D library.


This is a great opportunity to learn from years of industry experience and grow within a rapidly growing business.

Salary and Package: Up to 30k p/a + Company performance bonus
Working Hours: On-site Monday to Friday, 40 Hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and develop both 2D and 3D drawings, designs and layouts in a timely manner, ensuring industry and client standards are adhered to
  • Communicate with customers to verify details, quality and specifications
  • Review detailed drawings such as P&IDs, amending when required
  • Provide technical input and support across departments when requires


Required Experience, Qualifications and Qualities:

  • Previous experience in using Solidworks and AutoCAD design packages with good operational understanding
  • Understanding of Plant/Water Treatment equipment would be beneficial, such as: filtration units, tanks, vessels
  • Experience in producing P&IDs, General Arrangements or similar
  • Qualified to Degree-level or similar
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team
