About the Role: We are recruiting for a well-established accountancy practice in Chelmsford, seeking an experienced and motivated Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion, liaising with the client and managing the audit team.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS 102.
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff and providing guidance and training as required.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients across various sectors, ensuring that the service we provide meets the firm's quality standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Assisting in the development of the practice, including networking and business development activities.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in audit and accountancy within a practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
