A Financial Accountant is required for a leading Global Tech and manufacturing company based in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be dealing with inventory transactions and account reconciliations

Our client is a well-established entity in the industrial / manufacturing industry, employing over 10,000 individuals globally. Their UK operations are primarily based in Chelmsford, where they have a significant presence.
Description
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
- Maintaining financial integrity of inventory accounts
- Periodic processing of financial inventory transactions and account reconciliations
- Co-ordination and execution of standard cost accounting processes and updates
- Co-ordination, support and oversight of physical inventory counts
- Working with the business teams, providing advice and guidance on appropriate manufacturing and project management procedures to ensure inventory accounting requirements are met.
- Work closely with purchasing, planning and logistics teams in support of costing, forecasting and optimisation of inventory levels
- Provide oversight to ensure the business operates within the financial controls and procedures set by the Group
Profile
A successful Cost Accountant should have:
- A proven background in a stock or cost based accounting background
- Be in the final stages of qualification, or newly qualified
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
