Financial AccountantAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a leading university and play a key role in managing financial reporting, treasury, and taxation functions. This is a leadership role, offering the chance to drive improvements and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, you will lead a team of six (4 FTE) and be responsible for:
- Managing the Financial Accounting Team, including appraisals, performance monitoring, development, and recruitment.
- Preparing quarterly and annual accounts for the Group and its subsidiary companies.
- Overseeing statutory returns and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing authoritative advice on Financial Reporting Standards, particularly FRS 102.
- Managing the treasury function, including cash flow forecasting and investment management.
- Leading on taxation matters, including VAT and corporation tax compliance.
- Ensuring robust financial controls and risk management procedures are in place.
About YouWe're looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with:? Strong financial accounting and reporting experience, including knowledge of FRS 102?
