Group Accountant – International BusinessLocation: outskirts of Chelmsford - onsite 5 days Salary: Competitive, with benefitsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Group Accountant to join a dynamic and growing international business. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting global financial operations and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, including a strong focus on US tax compliance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Oversee US federal, state, and local tax compliance, including corporate tax returns and optimization of the group’s tax position.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and lead process improvements within the finance function.
  • Act as a key liaison with external auditors and advisors, ensuring smooth communication and reporting.
Key Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in group accounting and consolidation within an international business.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP and US corporate tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills; ERP experience is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
