Your Role:As our Group Financial Controller, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, overseeing accounting functions across our group entities. You'll work closely with our Finance Director and collaborate with our Operations and Sales teams to ensure everything runs smoothly. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations: sales ledger, purchase ledger, general ledger, and banking.
  • Overseeing payroll functions, including pension contributions and benefits.
  • Supporting cash flow management and optimising accounts receivable and payable processes.
  • Preparing accurate monthly management accounts and generating insightful reports for the sales team.
  • Supervising and mentoring finance team members to cultivate a culture of growth and teamwork.

What We're Looking For:We're seeking a candidate who embodies our values and complements our fun, quirky team culture. Here's what you need:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong financial management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • A calm demeanour under pressure and a diplomatic yet firm approach.

Experience:

  • 5+ years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Strong grasp of accounting standards and involvement in audit processes.
  • ERP experience, particularly with Sage 200 or other Sage products.
  • Exposure to manufacturing and stock management is a plus.

Qualifications:

Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
