We’re recruiting for multiple Tax Accountant roles across Essex, Suffolk, and London. These positions offer the opportunity to play a critical role in tax compliance, reporting, and financial initiatives for a leading accountancy practice.About the RoleAs a Tax Accountant, you’ll support annual tax compliance and reporting, work on diverse tax and finance projects, and enhance the visibility of the tax function within the business. You’ll act as a key contact for tax-related queries, collaborating closely with internal teams and external advisers.Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Reporting: Work with external advisers to plan, prepare, and file corporation tax returns.
  • Audit Support: Assist with tax-related audit queries and ensure accurate tax record-keeping.
  • M&A Integration: Support the integration and onboarding of newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth tax compliance processes.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a trusted partner for internal tax and VAT queries, offering guidance across the business.
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of tax policies and procedures.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with tax and finance teams on various ad-hoc projects that enhance operational efficiency.
About You
  • Qualifications: Ideally, ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified, with solid experience in UK corporate tax and some exposure to tax accounting. Please note, only candidates with tax experience obtained within the UK will be considered, as this role requires a thorough understanding of UK-specific tax laws and practices.
  • Proven experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably within a professional services or financial services environment.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective time management.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced Excel knowledge
  • Personal Qualities: High integrity, strong ethical standards, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
