Our client is a well-established, privately owned group of businesses. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join their team and gain valuable experience in managing SME operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare quarterly management accounts and KPI analysis.

Compile monthly income statements and assist with financial administration.

Support annual budget creation and cash flow reporting.

Oversee purchase ledger and prepare quarterly VAT returns.

Assist with the annual audit process and analyze timesheets for wage preparation.

Handle banking, compliance, and maintain fixed asset registers.

Provide ad-hoc financial reporting as required.
The Ideal Candidate:

AAT qualified.
-
Previous experience in an SME environment is preferred.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
-
Familiarity with accounting software (Opera, Sage) and property/leisure software is a plus.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
