Accounts AssistantChelmsford, Essex£24,000 - £28,000+ DOE

An exciting opportunity has become available to work for a leading and very successful construction based company. Looking for job security and a local role? Then this is the company for you!

You will be responsible for assisting the Financial Controller and Finance Team in processing and producing financial information.

The Role:

  • Purchase ledger invoice processing
  • Supplier account reconciliations
  • Sales ledger invoice processing
  • Client account reconciliations
  • Subcontractor invoice processing
  • Assist with month-end reporting in line with reporting requirements
  • Preparation of accounting journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with production of departmental reports
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Support Financial Controller with ad-hoc tasks
  • Any other tasks commensurate with the role.The Candidate:
  • Previous accounts experience is essential
  • Experience within the construction industry preferred but not essential
  • Highly computer literate in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Car owner / driver

Hours of Work:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 40 hours a week

Reward and benefit:
