Accounts Assistant

Our great established client is seeking an Accounts Assistant on behalf of our client in the real estate and property industry. This role is based in Chelmsford and offers a competitive salary of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities, Objectives, and Accountabilities for the Accounts Assistant:
  • Contribute to the daily posting of transactions in the Group's accounting systems.
  • Maintain accurate reporting systems and controls to support decision-making at all levels.
  • Collaborate with other Group staff to ensure efficient and effective teamwork.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and process their invoices.
  • Handle BACS and CHAPS payments.
  • Enter daily financial transactions.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including chasing unpaid fees and updating debtor balances.
  • Organize and file financial paperwork.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Capture and log daily invoices for authorisation.
  • Post customer remittances.
  • Assist with month-end processes and reconciliations.
  • Report financial data to management.
