Our client is a leading consumables company revolutionising the Hotel Industry. They offer a diverse range of products, from decorating tools and lighting to power tools, plumbing supplies, adhesives, paint, and general supplies. They also boast an extensive online catalogue with over 30,000 additional products, partnered with top trade brands like Duracell, Bell Lighting, Euroshowers, and more!

To thrive in this role, you'll need to prioritise the power of the pitch over the product itself. Tap into human nature, apply your persuasive skills, and effectively sell any product within the portfolio. The ideal candidate will be an experienced salesperson who understands that successful sales begin with understanding the buyer's needs.

Youll need to be proactive and use your initiative in driving price incentives and promotions. You will collaborate closely with the MD, who regularly leads by example, and work alongside the Operations Manager and a dynamic Sales Team to support you in expanding your client portfolio.

This is a great opportunity if you can embrace the challenge of managing an existing customer base of around 300, while setting your sights on the exciting goal of opening new accountsthe sky really is the limit!

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Minimum 1 years sales experience
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customers
  • The ability and desire to sell
  • Highly self-motivated, ambitious, and money-motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive, confident, and determined approach
  • Excellent phone and presentation skills
  • Sage 200 (desirable)

  • Obtain new customers and expand the current customer base

  • Upsell and introduce new product lines to drive sales

  • Strong personality required to engage with customers effectively
  • Track all sales activities in the company BMS system
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Develop a sales calling plan with existing customers
  • Communicate customer and prospect issues to the relevant department
  • Co-ordinate with team and other departments to maximise sales efforts
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, and industry networking events
