Quality Inspector (Night Shift) - Aerospace Engineering
Location: Chelmsford

Are you a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with experience in aerospace manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Shift Quality Inspector to join our client based in Chelmsford. This role plays a key part in ensuring the high-quality standards are met before products are released to customers. If you have a strong background in inspection, testing, and compliance within an AS9100 environment, apply!

As a Quality Inspector, you will be required to:

  • Inspect and test aerospace components to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.
  • Verify subcontract purchase orders and incoming certifications for conformance.
  • Conduct FAIR, qualification, and final release activities, including COFC sign-off.
  • Use a range of precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, CMMs, shadowgraphs).
  • Ensure product traceability, batch control, and FOD compliance.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Handle customer and supplier interactions regarding quality issues.

Experience required:

  • Experience in quality inspection within aerospace or precision engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality systems.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work night shifts.
