Due to business growth a successful, Independent Mortgage Brokerage are currently keen to hire a Mortgage and Protection Administrator to join their established team.
Although the company have a base in the south east of England, this is a completely remote/home based position.
The company's main aim is to provide the best and most impartial advice available to its clientele. The firm specialises within the New Build Mortgage sector and benefits from having successful existing, long standing business relationships with several large new build development firms, who introduce their clients to them to provide independent mortgage and protection advice to.
The company also have a large existing base of mortgage and protection clients in place, that they gain consistent repeat business, referrals and recommendations from.
The working hours within this position are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 17:30pm, with a 1 hour lunch break each day.
As this is an employed but remote/home based role the successful candidate will be provided with a laptop, phone and access to all required software to suitably complete your daily responsibilities.
Key responsibilities:
Job activities will include:
- Providing administrative support to the Mortgage and Protection Advisors.
- Managing the client service experience - speaking to the clients, Advisors, lenders and Solicitors regularly to ensure the smooth progress of the application through to completion stage.
- Detailing all conversations and actions taken in the CRM System.
- Gathering original documents from clients, as required by the lenders.
- Uploading documents onto the system within the required compliance timescales.
- Ensuring all work meets the required FCA compliance standards.
- Where not already in place, internally referring clients that require Protection advice (including Life Insurance) to one of the firms Advisor’s.
- Where not already in place, quoting and securing General Insurance business with clients.
- Assisting the team with any other duties, as reasonably requested.
Key candidate attributes:
- Mortgage Administration experience gained within the independent market.
- Strong organisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including English written skills and telephone manner. Must have experience of handling all types of clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Must demonstrate technical ability and be confident with mortgage and associated protection terminology.
- Must be able to demonstrate initiative and ability to time manage and prioritise cases through to completion.
- Desire to progress in a professional and growing business.
The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of circa £25,000 which is negotiable based upon skill-set/role experience. A pension scheme, plus benefits including a generous uncapped, monthly bonus scheme which is based upon what would be your successful Protection referrals and the General Insurance business completed within the role.
