LOCATION: CHELMSFORD (HYBRID 3 DAYS IN OFFICE/2 FROM HOME)

SALARY: PAYING CIRCA 80,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE PLUS BENEFITS

With sites across the globe, they have a reputation of manufacturing high end products and solutions. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trade Compliance Site Lead

KEY JOB ACTIONS

  • Drive continuous improvement and implementation of Trade Compliance (TC) program elements, policies, procedures and automated tools based on regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Ensure proper TC controls are identified, embedded and consistently executed.
  • Support the team with all elements of the compliance program including transactional reviews, application and management of local export authorisations, denied party screening, jurisdiction and classification, transactional due diligence, technology transfers, facility controls and record keeping management.
  • Provide consistent guidance and frequent communication on trade compliance matters, including regular regulatory updates to raise awareness on trade compliance.
  • Conduct and support internal assessments, investigations, and completion of corrective actions for the site.
  • Identify training needs and conduct training sessions, as well as self-development and development of the team.
  • Continuously seek improvements and efficiencies without compromising the compliance level, utilising root cause evaluation and lessons learned.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record in a similar capacity for a high tech/defence environment with large shipment volume and licensing.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK & US Export Laws and Regulations.
  • Experience with managing teams and fully partnering with the business at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability with solving complex problems using collaborative techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Previous program/project management experience highly desired.
  • Strong Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • SAP/S4H (GTS module) experience beneficial.
