They are seeking a Quality Compliance Engineer to enhance their RF Power Division by ensuring product statutory regulatory compliance and maintaining high product quality standards.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide guidance and support to engineering teams to ensure all regulatory compliance requirements are understood and met for products placed on the market.
- Monitor and control product quality to meet or exceed customer expectations, and manage any necessary corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct compliance tests, perform diagnostic procedures, and analyse findings to determine compliance with statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers on new product designs to ensure consideration of electrical, mechanical, and EMC compliance from the initial stages.
- Mentor project engineers in compiling documentation to support compliance verification by third-party certification bodies or regulatory bodies.
- Maintain product compliance declarations and manage submissions for certifications.
- Support quality activities such as Return Merchandise Authorisations (RMAs), coordinating Change Review Boards (CRBs), and Quality Review Boards (QRBs).
- Extensive knowledge and experience with statutory regulations applicable to global markets, specifically CE/UKCA requirements including safety, EMC, machinery directive, and hazardous substances (REACH & RoHS).
- Experience in an engineering role supporting product development and manufacturing, with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical assembly, manufacturing, test, and qualification processes.
- Proficiency in quality management principles and ISO9001 standards.
- Experience conducting formal BMS ISO9001 internal audits and ad-hoc business process reviews.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Independent thinker with the ability to enforce key quality and compliance requirements assertively.
- Problem-solving skills with experience in methodologies such as 8D, A3, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree/HNC in Quality & Compliance Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Professional registration (IEng, CEng) is advantageous.
