Would you like to work for a progressive and ambitious company which is also one of the most successful within the UK construction industry? If so, we have a great opportunity within our Construction for a Business Development Manager!

About the Role

You will implement Morgan Sindall’s business development strategy in our East division by nurturing and growing a network of contacts - allowing us to bid and secure projects and frameworks. Always monitoring the current market trends, you will be responsible for providing market intelligence potential customers. Ensuring the ? CRM database is accurate and up-to-date and managing your pipeline of opportunities, you will develop win themes for key contracts and framework for construction projects and build commitment from the business unit to those plans. Manage and develop relationships with key customers at all levels with a strategic view on developing these relationship over time to position the business for future projects.

Responsible for new leads and understanding new opportunities coming to market and work to influence procurement routes for projects.

About You

You will have proven experience in a similar role with a thorough understanding of all aspects of winning and delivering work in construction. You will attend key forums to gain valuable knowledge on the latest thinking in key sectors and ideally you will hold a membership to a Professional Industry body.

With strong organisational and time management skills and a knowledge of construction procurement processes you will have a track record of developing relationships with key contacts in the market such as customers, designers, cost consultant influencers and government agencies.
