Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Double Decker Drivers for an ongoing position. The role involves trunking work, with depot-to-depot deliveries, primarily driving double-decker trailers.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods, with a maximum of 1-2 drops per day.
- Trunking work, depot to depot, swapping trailers.
- Driving double-decker trailer.
- Maximum 1 - 2 drops per day.
- Start times between 12:00 - 21:00, must be flexible.
- Traveling to various depots.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles according to company and legal guidelines.
- Complete deliveries and collections as scheduled.
- Ensure all goods are transported safely and securely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence and clean driving record (no more than 6 pts; no DR, DD, DG,CD, BD codes).
- Valid CPC and Tacho Card.
- Proven experience in a similar role - minimum 1 year (no employment gaps exceeding 3 months for the past year).
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
UMBRELLA PAYE rates:
- Monday to Friday - £23.00/h
- Overtime (after 8 hours) - £27.00/h
- Saturday (all hours) - £25.50/h
- Sunday (all hours) - £26.50/h
- Bank Holiday - £36.00/h
PAYE rates: Available on request
