We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our catering team and contribute to delivering outstanding meals for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality food in your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and excellent standards.
Ensure food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, providing training and support to develop their skills.
Manage stock and ingredients within your section, minimizing waste and ensuring proper rotation.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to plan menus and ensure all meals meet the nutritional standards for our students.
Assist with menu planning and creating exciting and diverse dishes for all dining services.
Ensure that the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and equipment, placing orders as needed.
Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient team environment in the kitchen.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role, preferably within an educational or large-scale catering environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
A passion for cooking and a keen interest in providing nutritious and tasty meals to students.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A team player with the ability to take initiative and manage your section independently.
A food safety qualification (e.g., Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene) is preferred.
Flexibility to work across different shifts, including during term-time and school events.
