The Company:
- As a boutique funder providing working capital solutions to the SME Sector focused around a Trade finance/ Purchase Finance product currently providing facilities ranging between £200k and £1m plus.
- We are looking for an experienced Business Development person with a background in working capital solutions to join the Team to help grow the Lending Book in line with the company’s growth plans. Ideally several years’ experience in a deal structuring or similar environment with a track record in being able to develop and maintain long-term relationships

Responsibilities:
- Originate new customer relationships for the core product, by proactively identifying and approaching prospects, with or without KBI’s to promote the company's products and services.
- Close leads generated by the business and directly from existing KBI’s.
- Develop and maintain a personal network of KBI’s within the business, and professional community and provide a healthy pipeline of new prospects suitable and able for conversion to customers efficiently.
- Extend and develop business with existing customers in partnership with the portfolio team.
- Meet targets for originations in lending whilst ensuring credit quality and pricing are maintained at the highest levels.
- Support the maintenance of existing portfolio customers where additional or follow-on funding may be required.
- Exercise the highest standards in managing transaction and onboarding processes to ensure operational and control activities are fully satisfied such that prospects become customers via an efficient and seamless process.
- Write high-quality credit papers for proposed transactions in a timely manner for submission to the Credit Committee.
- Liaising with external complementary funders to ensure that our security is perfected.
- Promote the business to the local business community through networking and attending functions, some of which will be outside of normal business hours.
- Assess quality business through appropriate checks such as balance sheets and management accounts, searches, and appropriate product information.
