As a key member of our office-based sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales value and margin targets. Your proactive engagement with our current customers and new prospects will boost our business. You'll also book appointments for our Business Development Manager, complete quotations, process orders for next-day delivery, and keep our customers informed about the latest offers and promotions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing:Swiftly and accurately input sales orders received via phone and email.
  • Customer Engagement:Regularly connect with new and existing customers within a designated sales area, updating them on the latest offers and new products.
  • Achieve KPIs:Consistently meet personal and team KPIs set by the Sales Manager.
  • Support Onboarding:Assist the Business Development Manager in welcoming and nurturing new customer relationships.
  • Expand Client Base:Research and create detailed prospect lists in your designated area to ensure accurate, up-to-date information for sales conversion.
  • Relationship Building:Forge and maintain strong business relationships with your clients using your persuasive negotiation skills.
  • Maximise Sales:Enter verbal orders, upsell, and promote offers to maximise order value.

Requirements:

  • Experience:Minimum of 3 years in sales with a proven track record of closing deals and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Communication:Exceptional ability to influence and persuade, particularly over the phone.
  • Organisation:Strong skills in prioritising, multi-tasking, and managing time effectively. CRM experience is essential.
  • Resilience:Ability to make 80+ outgoing calls a day, demonstrating perseverance and a strong work ethic.
  • Tech Savvy:Comfortable using multiple IT systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Industry Insight:Experience in construction/building product sales is a plus, but not essential. We welcome applicants from all sales backgrounds.
  • Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
