A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting a Sales Executive to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm. Paying up to 27,000 per annum + uncapped commission (OTE 35,000 - 40,000) depending on experience.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, your key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the vendor portfolio
  • Take part in Sales campaigns devised by the senior sales team to drive revenue and profit.
  • Work with the Sales Support team to ensure the customers experience a smooth transaction and all opportunities are investigated.
  • Ensure incoming sales enquiries are converted into sales orders
  • Processing sales orders when required
  • Actively manage existing accounts to ensure repeat business and develop cross and upselling opportunities within those companies.
  • Liaise with internal departments including marketing, operations, and finance.
  • Website product and pricing management and auditing, competitor analysis and pricing comparison
  • Maintain the CRM system and other systems.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the company products and services
  • To provide line management with reports and/or information, as required.
  • Keep up with business trends and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to keep up with industry trade shows and events.


Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Sales Executive position:

  • Previous experience within sales or a similar role.
  • Ability to upsell opportunities from sales orders to drive additional revenue.
  • Self-Analytical
  • A valid UK driving licence and passport may occasionally require travel to events.
  • A strong 'can do' attitude
  • Willingness to learn and throw yourself into any situation
  • Interested in keeping up to date with the technology industry and commerce/business in general.
