We are currently working with an organisation in Mid Essex who are looking to hire a Technical Sales Manager.Our client is a leading manufacturer and stockist of a range of electronic products. This role would suit a candidate with strong sales experience in a similar field looking for a management position.This is a full time permanent position based on site, with regular visits to clients. The company are offering a generous basic salary, company car, discretionary bonus and more.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sales personnel meet performance standards.
  • Build rapport with top customer accounts.
  • Motivate, coach, and train sales staff.
  • Set pricing and discount structures with Sales Director.
  • Forecast sales and develop growth plans.
  • Provide monthly productivity reports.
  • Coordinate resources for stable sales results.
  • Develop sales strategies and policies.
  • Conduct site visits and sales presentations.
  • Manage budgets and review expenses.
  • Hold staff meetings and report to Sales Director and Managing Director.
  • Address serious customer or supplier issues promptly.
  • Maintain the customer and prospect database.

Key skills / experience required:

  • Full driving licence
  • Proven sales success
  • Skilled in proactive selling techniques and training staff
  • Experience in selling technical products, preferably with an electrical/electronic focus
  • Evidence of recent sales success
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strategic planning ability
  • Capable of coaching and training staff
