Goodman Masson are currently working with a social housing organisation to recruit for an interim Stock Condition Surveyor.

Pay Rate: 35ph - 40ph Umbrella


Department: Asset Management
Reports To: Senior Surveyor

Job Purpose:
Conduct stock condition and property-related surveys to support accurate asset data and contribute to effective long-term asset management planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys on various property types (occupied, void, commercial, etc.)
  • Record survey results in asset management systems using handheld devices
  • Meet survey targets and timelines, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Identify and record potential hazards (e.g., damp, security issues, structural concerns)
  • Oversee remedial work completion and update data accordingly
  • Assist in designing and implementing asset surveys
  • Perform energy rating surveys
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction, or equivalent
  • Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor
  • Relevant surveying experience, including stock condition and HHSRS surveys
  • Experience identifying and mitigating defects
  • Knowledge of construction and health & safety legislation, including HHSRS
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong communication and IT skills, including report writing
  • Knowledge of asset management databases
  • Commitment to customer care and continuous improvement
  • UK driving licence and access to a car
