Business Development Executive

Chelmsford

£30,000 per year

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Our client is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development executive to join their Hire Team selling specialist equipment.

Focusing on growing their rental services. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in developing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive engagement and have regular contact with hire customers
  • Use upselling techniques on different products or length of service.
  • Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth.
  • Answer inbound enquiries and provide a follow up of all quotes within 30 minutes.
  • Ensure all customer details, notes and relevant information are accurately put on the CRM.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new clients.
  • Achieve and exceed business development targets, contributing to the Hire Team’s overall success.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and generate leads.

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role such as account management, business development, sales development or sales administrator.
  • Self motivated.
  • Confidence to pick up the phone and bring in new business.
  • Excellent eye for detail and proof reading all information before it's sent to clients.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
