CNC Miller - Day & Night Shifts Available
Location: Chelmsford

Prime Appointments is working with a long-standing and highly respected manufacturing company based in Chelmsford, renowned for producing precision CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence sectors. With growing demand and a busy order book, they are now looking to expand their skilled team and are seeking experienced CNC Millers for both day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components

  • Read and interpret detailed technical drawings and CAD blueprints

  • Select tooling and optimise setups for one-off and small batch production

  • Carry out in-process quality checks to ensure components meet exacting tolerances

  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation

  • Work closely with the production team to meet project deadlines while adhering to health and safety standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller in a precision engineering environment

  • Confident in programming and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc, Mazatrol or Siemens controls

  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances

  • Excellent attention to detail and a genuine pride in producing high-quality work

  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure

  • Setter-Operators with solid experience will also be considered
