CNC Miller - Day & Night Shifts Available

Location: Chelmsford

Prime Appointments is working with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing company in Chelmsford that specialises in precision CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence industries. Due to increasing demand and a growing workload, they are expanding their team and looking for skilled CNC Millers to join on either a day or night shift. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company that is committed to innovation, quality, and precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with accuracy.
  • Select appropriate tooling and optimise machine setups for one-off and small batch production.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure components meet strict tolerances.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller in a precision engineering environment.
  • Skilled in programming and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Setter Operators will also be considered.
