CNC Turner - Day & Night Shifts Available

Location: Chelmsford

Prime Appointments is working with a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing company in Chelmsford that specialises in precision CNC-machined components for the aerospace and defence industries. Due to increasing demand and a growing workload, they are expanding their team and seeking skilled CNC Turners to join on either a day or night shift. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a company that values expertise, innovation, and quality craftsmanship.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with accuracy.
  • Select appropriate tooling and optimise machine setups for one-off and small batch production.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure components meet strict tolerances.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines while adhering to health and safety standards.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner in a precision engineering environment.
  • Skilled in programming and operating CNC turning machines with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerances.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
