Plumbing & Heating Contracts Manager required for our client, a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor, established in 2001. They are now looking for a Contracts Manager to join their Essex department, covering works across Kent, London and Essex.
You will be involved in 4-5 domestic projects, such as new builds, ranging from 500K up to 1.5M per job.
Contracts Manager Salary & Benefits
- 50,000 - 60,000 DOE
- Company Vehicle & Mileage claimed back (personal use)
- 25 days + 8BH
- Monday - Friday (45 hours - 8am-5pm)

Contracts Manager Job Overview
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the projects from inception to completion, including but not limited to:
- Resourcing local labour
- Manage the installation work carried out by the company
- Managing engineers and sub-contractors on site
- Liaising with client site manager and contracts managers
- Keeping to budget
- Value engineering
- Staying on top of variations and delivering the projects on time to a high standard.
- Produce monthly reports on projects.
- Manage all aspects of Plumbing, Heating & Gas, Soil Stacks and plant rooms;
Contracts Manager Job Requirements
- 2 years minimum experience as a Plumbing and Heating Contracts Manager
- Gas Safe Registered
- Minimum of 5 years hands on experience as a Plumbing & Heating Engineer
- Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
- Able to manage plumbing, heating and gas engineers
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Full UK driving license.
