Reed Accountancy is delighted to work exclusively with our client based in Chelmsford, who is looking for a Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an office based role.

Responsibility of the Credit Controller:

Responsible for approximately 700 accounts for several branches
Chase customers for payment by phone, email, and messaging
Issuing final demands and requesting legal action where appropriate
Liaise with branch personnel regarding overdue payments
Credit check and process new account application forms using creditsafe
Secure Nexus Cifs credit insurance, liaise with underwriter when required
Cash postings and credit card transaction processing
Carry out reviews of accounts ensuring that all information is up to date
Provide high customer service, helping all customers across the full ledgers.

Candidate profile

Minimum 2 years experience in credit control
Confident on the phone
Working closely with customers and the internal sales team, building strong working relationships
