Due to business growth a successful, Independent Mortgage Brokerage are currently keen to hire a Mortgage and Protection Advisor (handling Residential and BTL cases) to join their established team.
Although the company have a base in the south east of England, the successful candidate will essentially work entirely remotely from home.
The firm are keen to hire an experienced Mortgage and Protection Advisor who resides within the London/Essex regions or surrounding areas.
The company's main aim is to provide the best and most impartial advice available to its clientele. The firm specialises within the New Build Mortgage sector.
In addition to the company’s large existing base of clients and the referrals, recommendations and repeat business that they gain from them, the company write a lot of new build mortgage business via new build development firm referrals that they receive based upon the contracts that they have in place with several large developers throughout the South East of England in in London/Essex regions.
The company also gain further new clients based upon their marketing campaigns.
In turn you will be provided with quality, client leads on a regular basis, with no need to have your own existing client base. Any existing clients that you would naturally bring across with you would simply be an opportunity for you to increase your earnings further rather than a necessity.
In turn each of the firms Mortgage and Protection Advisors regularly writing at least £15k to £20k worth of business per month. With top performing Advisors often successfully banking £30k to £40k worth of business per month.
The working hours within this position are Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 17:30pm, with a 1 hour lunch break each day. Plus the occasional new build site open day to attend on a Saturday where beneficial. Where this occurs a day off in lieu during the week is provided.
As this is an employed but remote/home based role the successful candidate will be provided with a laptop, phone and access to all required software to suitably complete your daily responsibilities.

Job activities will include:
- You would provide mortgage advice from the whole of market and protection advice via a panel of several of the key providers.
- Warm client leads will be provided to you, in turn you are not at all required to have your own existing client base for this role.
- Post the submission of cases, all of your further administration will be completed for you by an in-house administration team. Allowing you to spend more time speaking with and virtually meeting with clients. Once your case has been submitted, the administration team will then regularly liaise with your clients, lenders, solicitors and yourself, seeing your cases through to their successful completion.
- You will benefit from receiving compliance support provided by the firms’ mortgage network.
- You will work on a daily basis with professional colleagues, where you will be treated like an adult and trusted to do your job well. Working within a successful, friendly and helpful team of experienced Advisor’s.

Key candidate attributes:
- Specifically New Build Mortgage advising experience is essential.
- In turn you must hold the full CeMAP qualification (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication skills (both English written and verbal).
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
- My client is keen to hire a candidate who is ambitious, driven/committed to succeeding, whilst also being a team player.
- Experience within the shared ownership mortgage sector is desirable (but not essential).
The successful candidate will receive an employed contract, including a competitive starting basic salary of circa £30,000 (which is negotiable and dependent upon experience). There is also the possibility that you will receive an additional, initial enhanced salary guarantee (if e.g. you have an existing large pipeline of commission in place that you would be walking away from within your current position). Plus a lucrative, uncapped commission structure. Leading to a first year OTE of £50,000 to £80,000.
Advisors at the company also earn additional commission for successful solicitor, commercial mortgage, bridging finance, development finance and equity release referrals made.
