Position: Customer Service Coordinator - Freight Forwarding

Location: Chelmsford

Hours: 09:00-17:00

Salary: Up to 31,000 DEO

Our client is seeking a Customer Service Coordinator to work closely with their Freight Forwarding team. The coordinator will act as the customers' first point of contact and resolve problems and concerns about receiving, storing, and shipping goods.

Your key responsibilities as a Customer Service Coordinator - Freight Forwarding

  • Communicate with customers to have a clear understanding of their requirements and ensure correct measures are in place to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers to develop more business opportunities
  • Be in communication with overseas agents to monitor the progress of shipments and update customers and delivery points
  • Liaise with customers and the Customs Department to ensure all documents are received and accurate
  • Support the Sales team by handling, processing and following up rate quotations
  • Pro-actively place calls with customers, assisting them with any problems they may have providing advice on all ETA's, vessel details, expected deliveries
  • Provide accurate information to various teams in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • A background in freight forwarding is an advantage
  • A media background is very desirable
  • Be able to work well under pressure
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Customer service experience is essential
  • Proficient in various computer systems such as Microsoft Packages
