We are seeking an Export Control Officer to oversee and implement trade compliance policies, processes, and controls, ensuring full adherence to UK, EU, and US export regulations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of trade compliance program elements, policies and procedures based on regulatory and corporate requirements ensuring they are consistently embedded into business operations.
  • Manage export authorisations, conduct transactional reviews, and oversee technology transfers, facility controls, and record-keeping.
  • Provide expert guidance and training on trade compliance matters, keeping teams updated on regulatory developments.
  • Conduct internal assessments, support investigations, and drive corrective actions where necessary.
  • Continuously seek improvements in compliance processes while maintaining regulatory adherence.
  • Engage with senior leadership and external stakeholders to ensure compliance best practices are followed.
About You:
  • Strong knowledge of UK & US export laws and regulations (ITAR, EAR, UK Military & Dual-Use products).
  • Experience implementing and managing trade compliance programs.
  • Ability to simplify complex compliance matters into clear, actionable insights.
  • Proven track record in leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in a high-tech, defense, or aerospace environment is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP/S4H (GTS module), SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate concise reports from compliance data.
  • Proven direct experience with International Trade Regulations.
  • A degree in business or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience with dealing with UK Military and Dual Use products and multilateral control regimes.
