An opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join a well-established family firm that produces over 19 million high-quality sandwiches, wraps, rolls and salads each year. Along with a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, you will also receive extensive and comprehensive training.Since 1988, they have grown from a small, local operator, into a £25m+ turnover national supplier. You will be responsible for the implementing, auditing, and continually improving the FSQMS by providing technical support to the production, maintenance, and hygiene teams. Carrying out internal audits including the initialisation and delivery of corrective actions following non- conformances are reported daily.As Compliance Officer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining and promoting food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity across all the business
  • Ensuring the production line staff adhere to good manufacturing & good hygiene practicesand providing advice or training as needed in all areas.
  • Working closely with the production and quality team in terms of quality/safety issues to ensure all relevant information is recorded, communicated, and investigated.
  • Being the technical point of contact for PM shift and responsible for escalation procedure.
  • Carrying out the technical daily walkabout at set periods throughout the day and reporting findings
  • Supporting and progressing the food safety culture.
  • Temperature monitoring around the site and complete actions as required
We’re looking for a Compliance Officer with:
  • Good knowledge of food safety and quality
  • Food safety level 3
  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a similar role, but notessential.
  • Familiar with Windows, MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Good grasp of formal English with regard to reporting writing and correspondence.
  • Experience with internal auditing
