Blueprint Recruitment are working alongside a renowned multidisciplinary consultancy who are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract basis. Located in Essex, this is a fantastic opportunity for the selected candidate to work on a variety of exciting Education and Leisure projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be responsible for the various mechanical / HVAC design processes from concept through to completion
  • Development of detailed designs suitable for procurement and installation. This will include sizing, selection, and space planning
  • You will be an integral part of a multi-service design and installation team
  • Proactive in ensuring effective communication and production of good quality information
  • Aid with the development of junior project and design engineers

Key requirements:

  • Strong Building Services experience
  • Competence of all major building service systems
  • Good working knowledge of Revit and HEVACOMP design software
  • Sufficient working knowledge to enable you to establish client's requirements, and an ability to communicate effectively with specialist providers.
  • Able to work and lead as part of a team, delivering a fully co-ordinated and integrated solution
