Job Summary: Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Dartford/Essex, UK Hybrid
Salary: £54,000-£59,000 per annum
Benefits: Company vehicle & fuel card, pension, private medical insurance, 21 days annual leave (rising to 25 with time served)

Overview: The company is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for small to medium-sized projects in the water industry. The role involves overseeing technical input, ensuring safety compliance, and directing teams during the installation of electrical systems and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and allocate work to operatives and apprentices
  • Interpret technical drawings and ensure the availability of all necessary technical information
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, safety, and quality standards
  • Oversee procurement of materials and management of subcontractors
  • Prepare estimates, quotations, contract documents, risk assessments, and safety plans
  • Manage project changes, quality control, and health & safety compliance

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Proficiency in design codes, technical standards, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and time-management skills
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes, CDM regulations, and health & safety
  • Desirable: Thames Water Safety Passport, EUSR Water Hygiene card
