SMT Operator - Technical Operative / SMT / Technician & OperativeLocation: in the Chelmsford are of EssexFull time, Permanent positionSalary: Negotiable depending on experience - excellent salary and benefits offered!

Our welcoming Client is currently seeking an experienced Surface Mount Technician who will support as an Operative too!

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Program SMT (Pick & Place) machinery
  • Follow and work from computer, drawings or parts lists
  • Checking production documentation
  • Preparing all required equipment and performing essential checks
  • Operate machinery, placing electronic components onto (PCBs)
  • Follow production schedules
  • Perform Quality Control tasks as required
  • Calibrating equipment
  • Assemble various electronic devices with precision and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Other duties to be obtained as position grows

Skills and Experience

  • Must have electronic competent recognition
  • Confident ability to affix electronic components onto circuit boards to manufacture electronic devices
  • Ability to read component identity markings (CIM) would be advantageous
  • IPC 610 accreditation would be advantageous
  • Must have working experience and sound knowledge of understanding requirements of quality standards & build practices
  • Work well within a team environment
  • Competent computer skill-set
  • Driver & own transport is required due to the location of this Client
