Improver /Electricians Mate (Solar Farms) required to work around the Essex area.You must be able to travel up to an hour away. Further overnight travel may be required occasionally (Travel/hotel expenses covered & 25 lunch voucher upfront provided).
My client is happy to take on a Domestic electrician if you fancy a change of scene and would like to try something different from Domestic jobs. Working on Solar Farms is more niche & outside - full training will be provided.
Ideally this will be temp/contract/subbing for 3 months and then go onto my client's books/payroll.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install string cables onto photovoltaic (PV) array tables.
- Terminate DC mains cables at combiner boxes and inverter stations.
- Make off MC4 connectors at panels and combiner boxes.
- Terminate communication cables (RS485, CAT5, CAT6).
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of PV solar systems according to the latest edition of BS EN (phone number removed) and other relevant standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards
Skills & Qualifications required:
- Valid CSCS card
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Experience in Solar electrical work is preferred but not essential.
- NVQ Level 2/3 Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Common Sense and reliability, essential.
- Full UK driving license.
Offers:
- (Apply online only) per day depending on your experience.
- Vehicle allowance + 25p per mile or Company van and fuel card, when travel required.
- Working hours; 7am-5pm with an hour for lunch, Mons-Thurs, 7am-3,4,5pm on Fridays (depending on work load for the week).
- Overtime will be paid, 1x3 weekend work with travel expenses, if required.
