About The Role
Morrison Energy services is currently looking to recruit anEnvironmentalAdvisorto work on ourNational Gas Asset Health framework.This role will be based across a large area with initial projects spanning from Chelmsford, across to the West Midlands, so travel will be required. The role will provide Environmental support to our operational teams, who work across various frameworks delivering project for our clients.
As a EnvironmentalAdvisor,you will be a key part of our SHEQ team who provide expert advice, assistance and guidance with regards to the management of health, safety and environmental issues.
As a EnvironmentalAdvisor your duties & responsibilities will be:
  • Assist and advise the operational and management team to further develop the management systems and operational practices
  • Support, review and aid the population of construction phase plans, environmental plans, review contractors RAMS
  • Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. risk assessments, risk management, fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational health
  • Assist with the development of SHE management systems
  • Liaison with external bodies including the Health and Safety Executive, Clients and other stakeholders as directed by the SHE Manager
  • Support incident management & investigation process
  • Produce toolbox talks, team talks and appropriate SHE training materials about health and safety issues and risks.
  • Monitor trade contractors via site inspection and management audit
  • Act as a role model at all times in support of the MES Gas construction visions, priorities and values
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of safety behaviour, leading by example and promoting safety culture
  • Previous experience as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment (Utilities experience desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience of Temporary Works management
  • Ability to influence at all levels
  • Ability to manage potential conflict during site inspections with operational teams
  • Capable of delivering confident articulate presentations
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office - Word, Powerpoint, Excel
  • NEBOSH General or Construction
  • NRSWA qualification andUtility SHEA Gas Passportis desirable
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel is essential
  • Knowledge of SCO91 is preferable but not essential
