Reed Finance have been exclusively retained by a leading Essex based business who are part of a US Group, in order to find a new commercially and operationally focused finance leader. This role is crucial for coordinating the supply and distribution of financial information between external partners and our internal teams, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Reporting into senior management in the UK and business partnering with The US, a few key duties include:
- Manage accounting, financial, and business-related support functions including preparation, monitoring, and revision of financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Interface with third-party providers such as Accounting and Tax firms to manage deliverables including financial statements and regulatory filings.
- Monitor and report on project accounting for compliance with policies, including tracking project labour costs, revenue recognition, and variance analysis against project budgets.
- Provide training and guidance on accounting policies and procedures to project and support staff.
- Manage and support the procurement process, including decisions on leasing versus buying capital assets and approval for capital asset acquisition.
- Interact with clients and subcontractor partners on proposal and contract issues, coordinating responses to all information requests.
- Support the business in managing policies and procedures related to Human Resources, Tax, and Legal matters.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of project accounting and UK tax regulations.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with management, staff, clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Experience in line management
- Previous experience with process improvement and streamlining finance functions/operations.

Experience within HR, project management and operations will be helpful here as you’ll need to demonstrate your understanding and comfort with managing multiple elements in addition to finance.
