As Microbiology & Food Safety Technologist, you will:
- Conduct sampling for microbiological system requirements with the collection and submission of samples
- Collecting investigative sampling for abnormal laboratory results and communicating internally, externally and with business stakeholders
- Support investigations into abnormal lab results.
- Conduct shelf-life assessment sampling and support shelf-life analysis.
- Support microbiological risk assessments and trending.
- Conduct administrative tasks related to microbiological data (such as lab results filing, and communication with suppliers and customers)
- Supporting daily technical functions including internal auditing, artwork/label approval, equipment calibration checks and document control
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm and passion for food safety
- Analytical and technical skills
- Understanding of food safety and quality
- Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment in a similar role
- Minimum level 3 qualification in food safety management/microbiology
- Familiar with Windows, MS Word, Excel
