Job Title: FLT Driver / Engineer

Salary: up to £ 29,000 (Depending on experience)

Job Description:

We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced FLT driver to join our team in Chelmsford. The ideal candidate will have a forklift licence, a valid driving licence, and some experience in factory packing, pallet wrapping, and machine operation. A background in engineering is essential. This role involves a combination of operating forklift trucks, machine minding, and performing light engineering tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift truck to move materials and goods within the warehouse.
• Wrap and pack pallets for storage or dispatch, ensuring all items are securely and properly packed.
• Assist with minding machines, including performing basic operations such as drilling, welding, and other light Engineering tasks.
• Handle heavy lifting and materials carefully and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of materials moved, packed, and dispatched.
• Ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed at all times.

Requirements:

• Valid FLT licence (Can be an in-house forklift licence) and a valid driving licence.
• Previous experience in factory packing, pallet wrapping, and minding machines.
• Basic engineering experience is an essential,
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to work.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Friday: 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
