The role of HR Administrator offers a salary up to £25,000 plus benefits depending on experience, working on a hybrid basis, 2 days in the office and the remainder from home with occasional travel to London. This role provides key administrative support to the HR team, collaborating closely with the Junior HR Adviser and supporting senior HR staff. Key responsibilities include managing the HR helpdesk, maintaining the HR system (Cascade), onboarding new employees, and handling various HR-related administrative tasks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR administration.
  • Prepare employee letters, employment contracts, and induction schedules.
  • Manage the onboarding process and update the HR system with employee information (new starters, transfers, leavers).
  • Provide support for training bookings and ensure training records in Cascade are up to date.
  • Handle new starter referencing, IT requests, and e-learning.
  • Assist with project administration and maintain employee records on SharePoint.
  • Draft various communications and manage filing and archiving.
  • Oversee the HR helpdesk, assigning and resolving tickets.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
  • Essential: Strong administrative skills, knowledge of HR systems, attention to detail, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Desired: Understanding of employment legislation, training systems, and experience with the Cascade HR system.
Qualifications:
  • Essential: GCSEs (grades A-C) in English and Maths.
  • Desired: A-Levels or equivalent qualifications.
Competencies & Behaviours:
  • Essential: Flexibility, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, team player, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Desired: Proactivity and forward-thinking mindset.
Experience:
  • Essential: Experience in HR administration and a commitment to working in the construction industry.
