Are you looking to kick-start your career in the electrical estimating field? Were hiring a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our Clients vibrant team based in Chelmsford, Essex. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow while working on diverse and exciting projects. Youll primarily work from the office but will also have opportunities to visit client sites and attend meetings to gain hands-on experience in estimating electrical/mechanical projects.
Key Responsibilities- Visit client sites to gather requirements and understand project scopes.
- Assist in producing detailed scope of works and quotations.
- Support with take-offs, pricing, and calculations for electrical loads and cable sizing.
- Liaise with suppliers and wholesalers to gather cost estimates.
- Participate in tender discussions with clients and answer basic technical queries.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth project handovers.
- An eagerness to learn and develop in electrical estimating.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, such as cable sizing and mains connections.
- Plumbing knowledge is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and IT skills (Microsoft 365).
