Job Advertisement: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Heavy Industrial)

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong technical background and looking to advance your career in a dynamic heavy industrial environment? If so, this opportunity is for you!

Location: Essex
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 14:00 - 23:00
Base Salary: 19.38 per hour
Overtime: 27.03 per hour (after 45 hours per week)
Annual Salary: 45,349.20

Additional Benefits:

  • 5.00 bonus per hour for hours worked before 6:00 AM and after 6:00 PM

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be integral to maintaining, servicing, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Work with the team to maintain a safe working environment, adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing machine performance.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Electrical Installations, Testing, and Inspection: Proven experience in electrical installations and inspections, including IEE wiring regulations (17th/18th Edition).

  • PLC Fault Finding & Programming: Strong knowledge of PLC systems, including fault-finding, troubleshooting, and basic programming.

  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Awareness: Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic components and systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within a heavy industrial environment.

  • Mechanical & Electrical Troubleshooting: Expertise in both mechanical and electrical fault finding, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
