Our client, based in the Chelmsford area, is seeking a Technical Administrator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects.The Technical Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the business by maintaining project documentation and product build standards. Working closely with mechanical, electronic, and design teams, as well as project teams, the successful candidate will ensure effective management and control of product data for all deliverables to meet internal and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain technical documents, including document management and change proposals.  
  • Support in the creation/administration of all documents related to the project.
  • Utilise web-based tools for secure data delivery to customers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all project documentation adheres to required standards, including references, confidentiality levels, and version control.
  • Distribute formal communications and track recipients to maintain traceability.
  • Maintain directories and document lists for all project-related outputs.
  • Support the management of review comments and ensure traceability of all communications.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively.
  • High attention to detail with a methodical approach to managing engineering data, drawings, and models.
  • A proactive, professional attitude, with the ability to prioritise tasks and engage with multiple stakeholders effectively.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Background in Configuration Control or Technical Data Management is desirable.
  • Experience interpreting technical data and Bills of Materials for complex assemblies an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Windchill or similar Product Lifecycle Management tools is advantageous.
