Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs? Our secondary schools in Chelmsford are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team immediately. As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students with diverse needs to thrive academically and socially within a supportive environment.

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and the SEN team to provide individualized support to students with special educational needs. You will assist in adapting lesson materials, supporting behavioral management, and fostering a positive learning experience for each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist teachers in adapting learning materials and strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Support students with behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting to teachers and the SEN team.

We are looking for an SEN Learning Support Assistant who is compassionate, patient, and skilled in working with students who have special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in an SEN environment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEN in a school or educational setting.
  • Understanding of various SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
  • A relevant qualification in SEN support or education is desirable but not essential.
