Job Summary of a Teaching Assistant:

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in enhancing learning and engagement in the classroom. Your contributions will help create a positive and inclusive environment for all students. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse group of young people and to be part of a supportive team.

Job Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who need extra help.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Monitor and track student progress and provide feedback.
  • Encourage and motivate students to achieve their best.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) as required.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications as a Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • A genuine passion for working with young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A good understanding of the curriculum and classroom management.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • A valid DBS check is required for this role.
