Senior Childrens Support Worker learning difficulties & autism
Senior Childrens Support workers are needed for a childrens home for children & young people with learning disabilities, mental health problems, autistic spectrum disorder or physical disabilities.
The childrens home is in a small village 5 miles north of Chelmsford and is set within an 11-acre site. On site is the childrens home which can support up to 7 young people. Theres also a school within the same grounds which is a school for SEMH for up to 30 children.
Salaries:
Senior Residential Support worker - Senior Support Worker - £14.80 per hour, rising to £15.55ph following successful probation (plus sleep in payments, any hours over 37.5 paid as overtime).
Realistic annual earnings in excess of £33k inc 1 sleep in a week paid at £50 a sleep in.
Shifts are normally long days 7.30am-9,30pm 5-6 shifts across 2 weeks.

As a Senior Childrens Support Worker you will;
Help the children and young people with Autism to meet their personal care needs.
Support with all aspects of health and wellbeing.
Be willing to support our children to and at their educational placements.
Support opportunities in the community and actively encouraging independence.
Leading shifts, and working closely with the deputy manager.

To apply you must have at least 18 months experience of working within a children's service for children with learning disabilities and complex needs or an EBD service.
A Diploma in children's residential is highly desirable, although consideration will be given to candidates who are committed to working towards it.
You must also be a car driver.
